As part of the implementation of "For You" within the initiatives of the National Plan to Enhance National Belonging and Consolidate the Values of Citizenship "Bahrainuna", the Ministry of Labour organized a ceremony to honor 20 citizens working in high-risk professions and fields of work. His Excellency Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Chairman of the Occupational Safety and Health Council, honored them in recognition of their merit, sincere giving and excellence in various productive sectors, despite the danger of working in those fields. The ceremony was attended by His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, Brigadier Mohammed bin Daina, Director General of the General Department of Media and Security Culture at the Ministry of Interior, General Supervisor of the Executive Office of the National Plan "Bahrainuna", along with representatives of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, trade unions and a number of officials. In a speech at the beginning of the ceremony, Humaidan stressed that the wise vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, since the launch of his reform project, has focused on strengthening national belonging and consolidating the values of citizenship as two main pillars for the advancement of society. In this context, he pointed out that honoring this best batch of Bahrainis comes within the framework of the "For You" initiative, which is implemented by the Ministry of Labour, within the national plan "Bahrainuna". It aims to highlight the efforts and sacrifices of sincere national cadres working in high-risk professions in the private sector, as all the work and tasks they perform are absolute proof of high nationalism within them stemming from their belonging and love for their homeland. Hence, all appreciation and gratitude to them for this giving and for their pivotal contributions to building and elevating the national economy. Humaidan also reiterated that the Ministry of Labour continues to intensify its efforts to enhance the protection of workers from the risks of the work environment by following the best practices when carrying out dangerous work in a way that preserves the safety and health of the workforce. He called on employers to develop measures to protect workers from these risks, increase the effectiveness of occupational safety and health committees in establishments and enhance relevant training programs for all workers. For his part, Brigadier Bin Daina, General Supervisor of the Executive Office of the National Plan to Enhance National Belonging and Consolidate the Values of Citizenship (Bahrainuna), pointed out that honoring this group of national competencies reflects the value of pride in the people of Bahrain. It is also considered one of the most prominent values and core elements in the initiatives of (Bahrainuna) that are implemented by national cadres and within the framework of a constructive community partnership, based on the directives of His Excellency General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Committee to follow up the implementation of the national plan. He explained that the implementation of "Bahrainuna" initiatives is a joint national responsibility, in which the efforts of official institutions, the private sector and civil society organizations are integrated through a national system, united by noble goals and love and appreciation of the homeland. Earlier, the Ministry of Labour formed a tripartite committee to select candidates, with the participation of representatives of the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions, the Free Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions, and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This committee examined the applications and selected the honorees who meet the requirements. The honorees expressed their great pride in this recognition, noting that the honor reflects the government's keenness in what it provides to the Bahraini workforce, its confidence in their giving, excellence in various fields and their national loyalty. They also considered that the honor constitutes an incentive for others to give more and to contribute effectively to the economic and social development witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
