In a visit to “MONDELĒZ Factory” .. Labour Minister briefed on employment of Bahraini capabilities

Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour, emphasised that national human cadres in various professional domains have ably proven their worth in all economic and commercial sectors. This is thanks to their excellence in their job performance and the confidence of establishments in their abilities, besides reliance on them in virtue of their discipline, seriousness, commitment to work values and keenness to improve productivity. This came during an inspection visit by Humaidan, in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry, to “Mondelēz Factory”, located in the Bahrain International Investment Park in Hidd Industrial Area, as part of a series of visits to companies and institutions supporting the initiatives and programs of the Ministry of Labour in the field of employing Bahraini cadres. He then met with Mr. Salah Al-Marasi, General Manager of the factory, Mr. Hussain Jawad, General Manager of Manufacturing and Production, Mr. Mohammed Al-Aradi, President of the Factory Syndicate, and a number of officials. The Labour Minister was also briefed on the efforts taken by the company to implement its strategy in recruiting and relying on qualified Bahraini cadres. The company is one of the state-of-the-art biscuit manufacturing plants specialised in the production of snacks, which covers the Gulf region, the Levant and Africa. During the visit, Mr. Al Marasi briefed HE the Minister on the role of the factory, its stages of development and work in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the plan of the Board of Directors to integrate Bahraini youth in various departments and production processes, during this year and the coming years. The facility currently employs 89 citizens, noting that 20 Bahrainis will be trained next week in the factory's departments for a period of six months. The fact is that all of them have been nominated by the Ministry through the "Foras" program, and that those accepted from them will be employed. Humaidan met with many of the company's employees and listened to their success stories and professional advancement in various job disciplines, praising their giving and excellence in performing their work and job tasks. He also noted the role of the factory union in promoting social dialogue within the company, which is the main driving force for achieving high levels of productivity. On this occasion, H.E. the Minister of Labour stressed that the government would continue to launch and implement qualitative initiatives to accelerate the pace of employment of citizens and improve their self-capabilities, stability and career development. It is also keen to provide encouraging incentives to them, as well as support companies and institutions operating in the private sector in line with the objectives of the economic recovery plan. The fact remains that the top priority of the government is to always make the citizen the first choice in the labour market.
