Humaidan discusses labour cooperation with Sri Lankan Ambassador

His Excellency Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, met on Tuesday at his office at the Ministry, with Her Excellency Rethesree Wigertney Mendes, the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Bahrain. During the meeting, Humaidan welcomed the Sri Lankan ambassador, expressing the Kingdom's pride in the bilateral relations between the two countries. In this regard, issues related to the field of labour were reviewed and experiences were exchanged in the field of human resources development and the strengthening of social protection for workers. The Minister also reviewed the continuous endeavors taken by Bahrain in developing labour market regulations to be in line with international labour standards. For her part, Mrs. Mendes praised the level of cooperation with Bahrain at various levels, expressing her country's appreciation for the care received by the Sri Lankan community in the Kingdom. The Ambassador also stressed the interest of her government to strengthen cooperation with Bahrain for the benefit of the two friendly countries and their people.
