Minister of Labour with Indian community celebrate International Workers' Day

Within the framework of the celebrations of labour organisations and community events in the Kingdom of Bahrain on International Workers' Day and emerging from the appreciation of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain for all segments of workers that contribute to the comprehensive economic development in the country, the Indian Club in Bahrain organized its annual celebration on the occasion of International Workers' Day at the club's headquarters in the Capital Governorate. The occasion took place in the presence of H.E. Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, and the participation of Mr. K. M. Cherian, President of the Club. The ceremony included artistic performances expressing the language of tolerance and civilisation dialogue between the cultures of different peoples, as well as folkloric paintings that reflect the human heritage, literature and international arts of the Indian civilisation. In a statement, H.E. the Minister of Labour congratulated all workers of Bahrain on the occasion of International Workers' Day, saying that this day is an opportunity to show the appreciation of the Kingdom of Bahrain's leadership, government and people for the role of all workers in the production and development movement. He also stressed that Bahrain will continue its civilised approach in preserving the rights of all workers and developing business environments to enhance its position as one of the leading countries in legislation and the application of labour laws compatible with international labour standards.
